The Great British Sewing Bee has been popular with the public since its launch in 2013, and fans will now be able to see some of the UK’s favorite celebrities take on the challenge.
The show will air twice during the holiday season – but who exactly appears and when does it air?
Which celebrities are on The Great British Sewing Bee Christmas Special?
A mix of TV personalities, actors and presenters will aim to impress the judges with their sewing skills.
In the first episode, audiences will see former Gogglebox Rev star Kate Bottley, Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton, comedy actor Kiell Smith-Bynoe, and presenter and presenter Anneka Rice compete for the title.
Celebrities will be challenged to “follow a pattern for a Christmas sweater, turn a charity store outfit into a fancy dress outfit, and create past Christmas dresses.”
Episode two will see Drag Race UK winner Lawrence Chaney, actress Rose Matafeo, singer-songwriter Claire Richards and journalist Kirsty Wark go head-to-head.
When is The Great British Sewing Bee Christmas special?
The first special will air at 8 p.m. on Wednesday 22 December on BBC1.
The second show will air at 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 30 on the same channel.
Both shows will be available live on BBC iPlayer and for review after they air.
Who hosts The Great British Sewing Bee and who are the judges?
The festive specials will see a new host take the reins of the show.
Actress Sara Pascoe will be the new face of The Great British Sewing Bee.
She replaces Joe Lycett as host, with Joe stepping down as host after three years in the role.
The show’s first four-legged series was presented by Claudia Winkleman.
Sara will assume the role of host while Judges Esme Young and Patrick Grant return to decide which celebrity will win the title of Britain’s best celebrity household sewer.
