Gangster Saraj Mintoo arrested for uploading social media post from prison: The Tribune India

An FIR has been registered against gangster Saraj Mintoo for downloading a message about Sidhu Moosewala from Bathinda prison. A video has surfaced on a social media account allegedly used by imprisoned mobster and co-accused of Moosewala’s murder, Saraj Sandhu aka Mintoo, claiming police would not be able to catch the singer’s attackers .

Police have registered a case on the complaint of Superintendent of Bathinda Jail, Bhupinder Singh. In the complaint filed with the police, the prison warden said inmate Saraj Singh uploaded photos to his social media handle @sarajsandhu302.

It is learned that the defendant may have used the inmate call system with the help of his assistants to circulate drugs and demand extortion, which is in violation of the standards of the prison manual .

Punjab Prisons Minister Harjot Bains in a tweet said there was no black spot in the high security zone. The police are mapping exactly who and where she was operated on and the culprits will soon be arrested.

In another tweet, Bains said, “This account has not been mined from jail. I have inspected Bathinda Prison where the prisoner is housed, it is totally locked down and we are doing routine checks using the latest gadgets. In the past, he used to mine it from Ferozepur when he was there. The police are investigating who operated on him and will be arrested.”

Saraj Mantoo is a defendant in the Sidhu Moosewala case and according to the Punjab Police, Mintoo had arranged two of the shooters – Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh Mannu – to kill Moosewala on the instructions of Goldy Brar.
