Are you still tearing up after watching Friends reunion yesterday? We are.
The two-hour TV special celebrating the beloved sitcom was finally dropped Thursday after years of anticipation – seeing the cast and some famous faces remember their time at Central Perk.
And while the reunion revealed some past secrets that even the biggest fans didn’t know, Ben Shephard had his own bombshell to tell. Friends at Hello Great Britain.
The 46-year-old presenter revealed that he was once an extra on the show and was invited to star on the show by Friends creator Marta Kauffman in 2002.
You can watch the clip here:
Have a fresh face and very in the early 2000s with spiky hair, Ben explained to his co-hosts Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins that he was offered the role after talking to Marta.
The comeback clip saw a visibly excited Ben turn over his shoulder to his team to check if it was okay.
Ben’s appearance saw him playing a red carpet reporter, interviewing Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc) at his movie’s premiere.
And while Ben is clearly very proud of his time on one of the biggest shows in the world, Kate couldn’t help but nervously gently.
“I love the way you look over your shoulder for verification,” she laughs.
Ben Shephard is no stranger to a movie star cameo, having also briefly appeared in a Harry potter movie.
Other revelations from Friends The reunion included the fact that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer, who played Ross and Rachel, secretly had a crush on each other during the first season.
Spill the tea to James Corden, who hosted the special, David explained. “At one point, we both crashed.
“But it was like two ships passing by because one of us was still a couple and we never crossed that border and we both respected that.”
No wonder Ross and Rachel’s chemistry has always been so believable!
