Beans ‘n’ Leaves tests superior hot cocoa | The dish

STATEN ISLAND, NY – Welcome back for another dose of The Dish. Watch it weekly, airing from Staten Island Advance Facebook page / SILIVE.com. The live presentation showcases the vibrant food industry in the borough and takes a behind-the-scenes look at some of our community’s unique businesses at 9 a.m. every Wednesday.

Building on last week’s visit to the Superior Chocolates factory, we connected Mike Katsoris with Megan Coppola, owner of Beans ‘n’ Leaves. She tested Superior’s brand new chocolate bombs in frothy milk and tasted the results in front of the chocolatier. Hear her reaction and take a peek at Megan’s newly expanded cafe in West Brighton as life passes on Forest Avenue.

Beans ‘n’ Leaves is located at 422 Forest Ave., (Beansandleavescafe.com) and is open daily from 6.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Superior Chocolates has a weekday retail store at 1150 South Ave., Bloomfield, as well as online ordering (SupremeChocolatier.com).
