Going through Loudwire, a new interview from one of New Zealand’s late night talk shows Space recently surfaced which features an unusually strange encounter with American multi-instrumentalist Andrew WK
Andrew, whose public figure is known for his crazy antics on and off the stage, first gained national attention with the EP Girls juice, released in 2000. The following year, he met with immense success thanks to the singles “Party Hard” and “We Want Fun” from his first studio album I get wet.
But it was the year 2002 and the late night show Space, which until recently contained bizarre antics discovered by Andrew. Stunts such as giving an interview under a grand piano or putting on a television that resulted in possible fractures.
“Amazing footage of Andrew WK live on New Zealand music show Space in 2002 ”, we read in the caption of the clip. “Interview taking place under a grand piano and the performance goes very differently from what has been rehearsed, which caused Andrew WK to break his hand and leave presenters Jaquie Brown and Hugh Sundae in awe.
